As therapists working (or considering working) with transgender clients, we are often focused on the nuances of their gender identities. However, in order to better understand our clients’ experiences, it is critical that we get in touch with our own gendered experiences in the world. With this knowledge, we are equipped to more effectively meet our clients where they’re at and truly join them on their gendered journeys. Whatever your experience with gender, come to learn and share about this multifaceted and ever-evolving topic.
